About Teacharo

Why Teacharo. Why now.

Voice-to-text has existed for years. Reasoning voice agents that understand context and compliance formatting only became viable 12 months ago. Teacharo is the first Australian EdTech product built natively for this shift.

Founder story

I just want to teach kids to read.

Janet Moeller's mother said that after 40 years of teaching. The growing paperwork had pushed her to early retirement. Janet spent 30 years as a teacher and principal across three continents — the US, Hong Kong, and Australia, including 12 years in Australian schools. She didn't read about the admin burden in a report. She lived it. She watched her mother live it. Teacharo is built from that experience. The domain knowledge, the industry contacts, and the lived understanding that no pivot-from-another-industry founder can replicate — that's what we start from.

Founder-market fit

Started by someone who lived the problem

Teacharo started with a principal who lived the admin burden firsthand. It's built by a team with the engineering and commercial experience to fix it.

30 years in schools

Teacher and principal across three continents, 12 of them in Australian schools. Janet brings the classroom knowledge and the relationships across the sector.

Enterprise rigour

Nahele and Nick bring 45+ combined years building secure infrastructure and leading major projects for Australian banks, telcos and multinationals.

Self-funded so far

Teacharo's been built on Janet's own savings. We're raising a modest pre-seed to scale the infrastructure and meet the demand we already have.

Built for
Australian schools

Why now

The technology finally caught up to the use case

We are the first EdTech-native application built for the shift from tools to agents. The next generation of EdTech won't be tools teachers use — it'll be agents that do the work for them. Teachers have a duty of care. They can't look at screens while supervising 25 children. Voice is the only viable interface for capturing information in the flow of teaching. Admin drives attrition. Teachers don't leave because of kids — they leave because of paperwork.

Voice is the right UX for teachers in the moment
Admin drives attrition — the burnout is structural
Agents replace tools — the next generation of EdTech
The infrastructure is finally data-sovereign and affordable
